Terms of Service
1. Scope
These Terms govern your use of rustchad - the Discord bot, the web dashboard, and the optional "rustchad Companion" browser extension - operated by KAYDINI Software, Inhaber Marcel Jahn, Brockendorfer Weg 9, 50189 Elsdorf, Germany (see our Imprint). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
2. Accounts
You can sign up with an email and password or with "Sign in with Google". You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You must be old enough to enter into a binding contract in your country, and meet Discord's applicable minimum age requirements. Connecting a Discord server or pairing a Rust server requires your own valid Discord and Rust+ credentials, compliance with Discord's, Valve's, and Facepunch's own terms of service, and that you're actually authorized to manage the server you're connecting or pairing.
3. Plans & billing
rustchad offers a Free plan and a Premium plan - see Pricing for current prices. Premium is available as a monthly subscription or as a one-time Wipe Pass. Stripe processes all payments; we never see or store your card details. A subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel it from your account page - you'll keep Premium access until the end of the period you already paid for. A Wipe Pass is a one-time purchase that grants Premium access for 7 days and doesn't auto-renew; unused time isn't refunded or extended, other than under the statutory withdrawal right below. If you cancel, downgrade, or a renewal payment fails, your account drops to the Free plan and anything over its limits becomes inactive until you're back within them or resubscribe - nothing is deleted. If you're a consumer in the EU/EEA, you also have a statutory 14-day right to withdraw from a paid plan - see our Right of Withdrawal page.
Call Alerts
Where available, Premium Call Alerts places phone calls for repeated smart alarm triggers, in addition to Discord and in-game notifications. Only verified, consenting recipients may be added. The allowance is up to 20 calls per rolling 7 days for subscriptions and 10 for Wipe Pass or other Premium access without a subscription, shared across the entire account. Each recipient dialed uses one call; failed attempts and calls reserved for dispatch also count. Removing a contact or alarm does not restore allowance. If the remaining allowance cannot cover all verified recipients, the whole escalation is skipped. Unused calls do not roll over. Calls depend on sensor events and telecommunications availability and are not guaranteed to reach you.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to violate Discord's, Valve/Steam's, Facepunch's, or BattleMetrics's own terms of service, to abuse or overload their APIs, or to use rustchad's tracked-player or BattleMetrics features to harass, stalk, or dox other players, or for any purpose beyond your own server administration and team coordination. You're responsible for how you use any player information the Service shows you. You also agree not to circumvent your plan's limits or to reverse-engineer the Service beyond what's needed for interoperability. We may suspend or limit accounts that break these rules.
5. Intellectual property
The rustchad bot, web dashboard, browser extension, and their underlying software, design, and branding are owned by KAYDINI Software or its licensors and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your own personal or team use, subject to these Terms. You don't acquire any ownership rights in the Service, and may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from it except as permitted by mandatory law (such as the interoperability right described above) or with our written permission.
6. Third-party services
rustchad isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Facepunch Studios, Valve, Discord Inc., or BattleMetrics. The Service depends on all of them, plus Stripe, and we don't control their availability, accuracy, or roadmaps. If one of them changes or removes something rustchad relies on, a feature may degrade or stop working without advance notice - we'll do our best to adapt.
7. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from your account page. Doing so permanently removes your account and everything linked to it - Discord and Rust server connections, tracked players, and event history - and can't be undone. We may temporarily suspend your account - for example while we look into suspected abuse, fraud, or a violation of these Terms - or terminate it permanently for serious or repeated violations, including violations of a platform rustchad depends on such as Discord's, Valve/Steam's, or Facepunch's own terms. Where reasonably possible, we'll try to notify you first.
8. Liability
rustchad is provided on an "as available" basis - we don't guarantee that the Service will be available without interruption or free of errors. Monitoring, alerts, and notifications are best-effort - we don't guarantee they'll be complete, accurate, or delivered in time, and rustchad is not a substitute for watching your own base. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for damages caused by the unavailability or changes of a third-party platform listed above. This limitation doesn't apply to liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, or any other liability that can't be limited or excluded under mandatory law.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time - for example to reflect a new feature or a change in applicable law. We'll post the updated Terms here with a new effective date and notify you by email in advance. For material changes, we'll ask for your explicit consent before they apply to you; if you don't agree, you're free to cancel your account as described above.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by German law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If you're a consumer, this doesn't deprive you of the protection of any mandatory provisions of the law of the country you're habitually resident in. See our Imprint page for information on dispute resolution.
