Control Rust Smart Switches from Discord

Flipping a Smart Switch usually means opening the Rust+ app and tapping through it. rustchad adds a /switch command in Discord instead, so you can list and toggle switches without leaving the chat you're already in.

How it works

  1. 1

    Pair your Rust+ server

Sign up, connect Discord, and pair through the same in-game Rust+ app flow you already know.

  2. 2

    Wire up a Smart Switch

Set one up in Rust like normal and give it a clear name - "Turret Wall", "Farm Lights" - so it's easy to pick out later.

  3. 3

    Run /switch in Discord

/switch list shows every switch on your server with its current state; /switch toggle flips one on or off.

What you get

/switch list

See every Smart Switch on your paired server, with its current on/off state, right from a Discord slash command.

/switch toggle

Flip a switch on, off, or just toggle it, without opening Rust+ or being logged into the game.

Works from the dashboard too

The same switches show up in the web dashboard if you'd rather click than type a command.

Device grouping

Premium lets you group switches - farm lights, turret walls, whatever makes sense for your base - instead of one flat list of 15 devices.

FAQ

Do I need to be online in Rust to toggle a switch?
No - toggling goes through your paired Rust+ connection in the background, whether or not you're logged into the game.
Can I control switches from the web dashboard too?
Yes - the dashboard lists the same switches and lets you toggle them with a click.
How many switches can I connect?
Free covers 1 smart device per server. Premium raises that to 15, shared between switches and alarms.
Can I group switches together?
Grouping smart devices - so a set of switches shows up together instead of in one flat list - is a Premium feature.

Toggle switches without opening Rust+

Free to start - pair your server and your first switch shows up automatically.
