Rust Raid Call Alerts
A push notification is easy to sleep through. rustchad can turn repeated Rust+ Smart Alarm triggers into a real phone call, giving you and your team another chance to react while a raid is still happening.
How a call is triggered
Each Smart Alarm has its own trigger threshold. When that many rising-edge triggers occur within a rolling 20-minute window, rustchad opens a raid incident and calls your verified contacts. After a call, that alarm has a 15-minute cooldown before another trigger can place another call.
The cooldown prevents a noisy circuit from immediately spending the entire allowance. It does not suppress your normal Discord messages or in-game raid reminders.
Set up Call Alerts
- 1
Connect your server and Smart Alarm
Pair your Rust+ server with rustchad, then place and wire a Smart Alarm in your base. A Seismic Sensor is a useful trigger when you want the alarm to react to nearby explosions.
- 2
Verify your phone numbers
Open Account → Call Alerts, add each consenting recipient, and enter the code sent by SMS. Add your primary number first because verified contacts are called in the order they were added.
- 3
Enable calls for the alarm
On the server dashboard, edit the Smart Alarm, turn on Call Alerts, and choose how many triggers must happen before rustchad calls.

Contacts and call order
Verified contacts only
Every recipient must consent and verify their number with an SMS code. Pending numbers still occupy a contact slot until they are verified or removed.
Primary number first
Calls follow the order in which contacts were added. If only one call remains, rustchad calls the first verified contact instead of skipping the alert entirely.
Allowance and availability
The allowance is shared across the account and measured over a rolling seven-day period: up to 20 calls with a Premium subscription, or 10 calls with a Wipe Pass or other non-subscription Premium access. Each recipient attempted uses one call, and failed attempts count too. Your Account page always shows current usage and remaining capacity.
Phone delivery depends on the mobile network and may fail because of carrier filtering, voicemail, or unknown-caller blocking. Save the displayed rustchad caller number as a contact on every recipient's phone. Call Alerts are an extra escalation channel, not a delivery guarantee.
FAQ
- Does one alarm trigger immediately place a call?
- Only if you set the threshold to one. Otherwise, rustchad waits for the configured number of triggers inside a rolling 20-minute window.
- Who gets called first?
- Verified numbers are called in the order they were added, oldest first, up to your contact limit and remaining allowance. Add the person who should always be reached first as your first contact.
- What counts toward the call allowance?
- Every number rustchad attempts to call uses one call, including failed attempts. Removing a contact or alarm does not restore calls already used, and unused calls do not roll over.
- Do Discord and in-game alerts stop when calls are unavailable?
- No. Discord messages and in-game reminders continue as usual when the call allowance is exhausted, a call is cooling down, or calling is temporarily unavailable.
- How do I stop calls for a raid that I already know about?
- Confirm the raid from the dashboard, or use !confirm in game to acknowledge all open raid incidents on that Rust server. Calls and reminders then stay quiet until the incident resets.
